Pastor Tim's Thoughts
We rejoiced on Sunday at the announcement of over 55 GM families taking a leap of faith and committing to Living the Dream! Carrie and I are committed to walk with you, over the next three years, on this journey.

We have experienced so much freedom since the inception of the dream of GM. The freedom of worship. The freedom of sharing God’s love and favor for our lives with others. The freedom of taking men, women and students to share the Gospel internationally. The freedom of true fellowship – in the good times and bad. The freedom of serving together towards a common goal. We are so blessed!

Our glory then becomes others around us.

What is the glory that you’re trying to experience? What about your actions? Are you bestowing great honor to God by the choices and actions you make? Do you have a Christianity that others want?

Every moment of every day, we have the opportunity to invest in the Kingdom – with every breath. Grace gives us the opportunity to see God in a different view – the view of freedom.

Are you passionate about the grace you’re embracing? Are you free?

Remember, it’s not about us. It’s all about Him and His grace. If you’re not experiencing life-change, you’re not choosing the greater glory.

Live the Dream with us. You want to be part of this! You want to be part of this God-ordained ministry!
Support Our Local Businesses
This year, Frisco businesses offered GM discounts on food for Women’s Retreat. In return, please support the following businesses, if you’d like, and tell them ‘thank you’, as we seek to make a positive influence in our community!
- Albertsons matched GM dollar-for-dollar on costs spent. (We later found out that they almost never donate to churches. The deli manager said God must have been speaking to him when we called.)
- Cristina's Restaurant discounted the food to $5.50 per person
Thanksgiving Turkey Bowl
Men and students, it’s that time of the year again! We’ll meet at the field behind Pink Elementary School on Thursday, November 27 (Thanksgiving) at 9am for our annual Turkey Bowl. Bring your friends, and your game face. Who will win the coveted trophy and bragging rights this year?

Register online today.
Frisco Family Services Donation Drive
GM is partnering with Frisco Family Services (FFS) as a local mission outreach during the holiday season. Beginning next Sunday, November 16, please bring an item to church on Sundays to donate. Personal hygiene items like shampoo, conditioner, body soap and deodorant are needed, as well as laundry soap, dish soap, etc. FFS prefers to have full-sizes of these products rather than trial-size whenever possible. We will have a plastic bin set up in the foyer. Make it fun – it can be a friendly competition between LifeGroups, Students and KidZone! Email Shannon Charbonneau at shannon.charbonneau@genesismetro.org with any questions or to help.
Women's MasterLife
Learn what it means to grow deeper in your faith and to really experience a different group of women. MasterLife groups are forming soon—-register at the back table on Sunday or by email us at women@genesismetro.org.
Capital Campaign Update
As of right now we have $450,000 committed to Living the Dream. If you haven’t returned your family commitment cards, please email Michelle Lance at michelle.lance@genesismetro.org or Sheila Breaud at sheila.breaud@genesismetro.org and they can make arrangements. Thanks in advance for your faithful commitment!
Students at The Zone
LifeGroups are taking a break next Wednesday, November 19. Instead, we’ll meet at The Zone in McKinney from 7 to 9pm. Bring $10 to cover the cost of pizza and drinks. Drop-off and pick-up is at The Zone. Email students at students@genesismetro.org with any questions. See you there!
Communion Service
On Sunday, November 30, join us for our Communion Service. This is always a special time for GM – be sure you’re with us to worship.

Pastor Tim's Thoughts
Look around on Sunday mornings. Notice all of the people that come through our doors. Do you know them? Have you connected with them during the week? Did you talk to them today?

If our church is all about people, as Jesus was all about people, then it’s our responsibility to be sure that we know the people. Sure, we may not know every person at church on Sunday. But we can make the effort to meet at least one new person or family each Sunday. Just think about how your circle of friends will expand. Just think about how your circle of influence will expand! Now you have more people to call on in times of rejoicing and in hard times.

We’ve been hearing incredible stories from every angle of our church family. In LifeGroups, people are getting it. In MasterLife, people are getting it. During worship on Sundays, people are getting it.

What’s the ‘it’? It’s in 1 Thessalonians 2. That people are our glory. That everything we do is to see life-change in others. That we do life together, daily, to expand His kingdom.

This Sunday, I have the awesome opportunity to share with you the Living the Dream commitments. I’m excited and humbled at the same time. I’m so happy that our church family is at this point. I’m even happier that our church family get’s it. They get that Living the Dream isn’t about us. It’s about the people that have yet to experience Christ’s love for them. It’s about what we can do for others in our surrounding community.

I can’t wait ‘til Sunday! It’s a milestone in our church history and I’m so excited to share it with you!
Student LifeGroup
Middle school and high school students meet for LifeGroup every Wednesday from 7 to 8:30pm at Paul & Celesten Leonard's house. Email us at students@genesismetro.org if you any questions.
Pastor Tim's Thoughts
We kicked off our capital campaign, Living the Dream, on Sunday, September 28. Since then, the past 2 months have been incredible!

We’ve witnessed so many life-change events within our church family. Women accepting Christ for the first time and/or rededicating their life to Christ at retreat this year. One family accepting the call to be in fulltime mission overseas. Two women coming together to realize their calling in ministry to organize efforts to provide the basic, daily needs for the Promise Home Orphanage in Honduras. A single-parent family who watched others on team her lose their jobs only to be guaranteed full-time employment for the first time in 3 years. Men taking time off of work, some without pay, to build the foundations and electrical work for the orphanage in Honduras; as they faithfully rely on God to supply for the needs of their family. The list goes on…

In these instances, we hear each person affirm that it is God moving in their circumstances for His glory – and they are just reaping the favor! They see God at work in their lives, and want other people to share in that joy with them. They cheerfully give their sacrifice to support the greater vision.

That’s what Living the Dream is all about. It’s getting beyond ourselves to bring His kingdom to our communities – both locally and internationally. It’s putting the needs of others before the needs of ourselves. It’s sharing life together with each other, so that the Gospel is lived out daily.

If you haven’t yet returned your Living the Dream commitment card, please do so by this Thursday. Both Michelle Lance and Sheila Breaud are available to receive the cards throughout this week, allowing us to present the commitment total to the church. We want to be sure that every family has the opportunity to participate in this step of faith with us.

I’m excited for this Sunday, as we announce the total amount committed by you, our church family, to Living the Dream. I can’t wait to share in that with you as we rejoice together! Thank you for being part of this dream!
Pastor Tim's Thoughts
We are all called to serve, each according to his or her own God-given skills and talents. We are all called to invest in His Kingdom. There is no better investment than Christ!

That's what we're doing. Through Living The Dream, we're making sacrificial investments into His Kingdom. Each of us is coming together as one church body to impact far beyond our individual reach or influence. We're living out a Christianity which embraces people and introduces them to what we have--that forgiveness, unmerited favor and love through Christ. We know that we love much because we are forgiven much.

Thank you to the many families who presented their commitment cards and their gifts of sacrifice on Sunday morning. If you were unable to join us, please bring your card on Sunday and place it in the offering basket. We will announce the total commitments received on Sunday, November 9. Commitments will begin the following week, November 16, with specific details to follow.

It's amazing to see what God will do when His people 'get it'. We're at a participatory level now at GM--no spectators! People are our joy and our glory. And you'll find that when you invest your time, energy and money into the Kingdom of God and His people, the result is worth the effort.
